BOOKS IN THE BOOT: Our Reason

For the very first time, we’re bringing together authors you’ve been waiting to meet from across the country under one roof. Books in the Boot isn’t just a book event,it’s where literature meets Louisiana culture. We’re mixing great books with a whole lot of Louisiana flavor: second line dancing, zydeco music, wine tasting with the books, candle making, fun games like “Guess Who’s Behind The Mask,” door prizes, and plenty of chances to meet and connect with your favorite authors.

Around here, we believe books should bring people together, spark conversations, and most importantly,be fun. This definitely isn’t one of those “once you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all” events… because baby, down here we do it a little different, and we do it right. Come ready to laugh, dance, discover new books, and make some memories.
